A CEREC crown is a ceramic crown that’s designed and made in our practice using computer-aided technology. It can cover and protect a tooth that’s cracked, broken or weakened by decay or a large filling. Depending on your circumstances, it may be fitted in the same appointment.
Your dentist prepares the tooth by removing any damaged areas and shaping it to hold the crown.
A small handheld scanner takes a digital impression of the tooth and the teeth
around it, so there’s no impression putty to bite into.
The scan builds a 3D model, which your
